A resident of Houston since August 2017, pianist Megan Glikes enjoys working with students of all ages and ability levels. She is an Adjunct Professor of Music at Houston Community College and Lone Star College-North Harris. Megan has been teaching private lessons for over ten years with studios in Houston; Rochester, N.Y.; Atlanta, Georgia; and Troy, N.Y. As a collaborative pianist, Megan has performed for numerous institutions including Houston's Opera in the Heights, Houston Community College, Roberts Wesleyan College (Rochester, N.Y.), Hilton High School in Hilton, N.Y., Emory University in Atlanta, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and Gordon College (Wenham, Mass). She has also been a staff musician at Perinton Presbyterian Church (Rochester, N.Y.), Emory Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, and Union Congregational Church in Magnolia, Mass. A native of Troy, N.Y., Megan earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from UNC-Greensboro, where she studied with Andrew Willis. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Gordon College where her primary teachers were Mia Chung and Alina Polyakov.
